About Us – Meet Raji

Care with heart, guided by experience.

Rajitha—known warmly as Raji—is the founder and director of Care n Assist. With close to 20 years of hands-on experience in aged care and disability support, she brings deep expertise and heartfelt dedication to every aspect of the organisation.

Originally trained as an Ayurvedic Medicine Doctor (BAMS) in India, Raji made Australia her home in 2006. She worked as an aged care support worker at a not-for-profit organisation in Geelong, providing care for individuals with needs ranging from simple to complex physical and mental challenges. Later, she moved to Sydney, where she supported people with disabilities. This journey was driven by a sincere passion to serve those in need with empathy, dignity, and cultural inclusivity. While she no longer practices herbal medicine, her holistic approach continues to shape the way Care n Assist delivers care—respecting each person’s unique needs and background.

Her husband Manju shares the same commitment to making a difference. His encouragement and passion for disability support played a key role in inspiring Raji to start the organisation. Manju has also worked as a support worker, bringing genuine compassion and hands-on experience to the team.

Together, they lead Care n Assist with a vision to provide inclusive, trustworthy, and empowering services for every participant.
